Soft Warm Smoky Eye FT Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette

I'M BAAACK. I know I've probably done a million looks like this, but I really wanted to use the new Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette, which is composed of warm orange and red tones (my cup of tea? VERY MUCH SO). This might be a bit premature, but I think this palette might be shaping up to be my favourite (sorry, UD) The colours are just so pigmented and blendable and ARGH! Sexy Black and Gold Clubbing Eyes

Hi! I'm finally out of hibernation! Today's tutorial is a smoky one (what's new?). I wanted to use a really vibrant gold, pairing it with a black and burgundy to create a sexy, clubbing appropriate look. I think the smoky lower lashline makes it really sultry! I likey!

Smoky Pink Eye FT Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Palette

After two cool toned looks, it's time to play with the pretty pinks and purples in this gorgeous palette! I mainly wanted to use Salazen Grum, a rich copper - layering Lily over this colour transforms it into a delicious metallic salmon pink. Unexpected, but beautiful all the same! This palette continues to surprise me!

Earth Tones Eye Tutorial FT Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette

Mermaid Eyes FT Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette

So as you can imagine, I could not wait to dive into this palette. The first colour I wanted to really experiment with is 'Heads Will Roll' (great name), a complex teal blue. I had no direction with this look, so can't really describe my thoughts behind it, other than OMG, PRETTY COLOURS. AND THINGS.

P.S: I added a black eyeliner to the waterline but forgot to take a picture of this step. Duh.

Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette: First Impressions and Swatches

Urban Decay Alice Through The Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition palette composed of twenty eyeshadows inspired by the upcoming film of the same name. There is a good range of brights and neutrals in a variety of different finishes (there are a good amount of mattes - quite the surprise from metallic lovin' UD!). Each column represents a character from the film, namely (from left to right) Alice, Mad Hatter, Miraana (White Queen), Iracebeth (Red Queen) and Time. This is a very cool touch and is a helpful guide in recreating the unique look of each character. The packaging is reminiscent of the iconic Book of Shadows in that it's extremely aesthetically pleasing, but certainly not the best for travel. It's the kind of palette that should be reserved for display purposes (when not being used, of course!) I will be uploading several looks over the course of a few days, and will write a full review once I've had a chance to experiment with all the colours.

Precious Metals Eyes Tutorial FT Illamasqua Liquid Metal Palette

Hi guys! Today we are playing with some cream shadows (oooh!) specifically the Liquid Metal Palette by Illamasqua.

The palette is composed of four 'metal' (as the name implies) cream eyeshadows; bronze, chrome, silver and gold. Mini review: the pigmentation is lovely, very metallic, but the formula is extremely emollient, so you really need to set them with a similar coloured power shadow, or they will stay slippy (I realized this as I now sit here, one hour later, with extremely creasy eyelids). No bueno.

60s/Cleopatra Inspired Eye Tutorial

So you may be wondering, when did Cleopatra become a go-go boots lovin' groovy chick? Well, that day is today. Using Cleopatra's signature blue and sharp liner combined with the intense crease and heavy lower lash line favoured by 60s ladies, I created this very doe-eyed look (if you have big eyes already your eyes are going to look HUGE using these techniques). It's not something I would do everyday, but it's definitely very fun!

The Naked Series: Easy Grey Smoky Eye FT Urban Decay Naked Smoky

After having this blog for nearly two months, and producing many different looks, only now do I realise that I have not done a tutorial on the ESSENTIAL - the traditional grey smoky eye. This is probably the most timeless make-up 'technique', and looks stunning on all eye colours, shapes, sizes. I added a bit of a twist with a cool blue waterline, but it still looks very classic. I feel a lot of people are intimidated by smoky eyes because they seem so complicated, but this look is very simple and easy to achieve.
